Pipe Range: 2" to 6" | Flow: 8 GPM+ | Tier Two Fluid Mechanics
The KEG Micro Chain Cutter Kit covers the smallest pipe range in the KEG chain cutter family: 2", 3" and 4" lines, plus 6" pipe with an optional skid sold separately. It is built for root removal in laterals and sanitary service lines, scale and rust removal, and plumbing work through offsets, pipe rips and small services.
Water jets spin the main shaft and its chain, which KEG rates at more than 7,500 RPM across its chain cutter family. The Micro carries 3 rear and 3 rotating M6 titanium ceramic inserts, connects through a 1/2" HP swivel, and needs a pump supplying at least 8 GPM at 1700 PSI. It runs without a skid in 2" and 3" pipe, a 4" skid is included, and it can work through sweeping 90 degree and 45 degree elbows.

Choosing the Right Version
- Kit contents as listed by KEG: Micro cutter main body, M6 titanium ceramic inserts, an M8 blank insert, replacement chain, 4" fixed skid, 1/2" HP swivel joint, tool box, chain breaker, screw plug, 3 mm and 4 mm Allen wrenches and blue thread locker.
- A 6" skid, a pulling device and reducers are sold separately.
- Do not use the guide carriage skids in 90 degree lateral applications.
- KEG recommends cleaning and video inspecting the pipe before running any chain cutter, and following the cutter manual.
- KEG supplies its chain cutters with titanium ceramic inserts only.
